Top 10 Habits to be Productive

In order to have a happy, successful life you got to have certain habits as it was once said “Our habits either make us or break us”. They are powerful part of our life and they shape who we are and who we become. When you look around your class fellows or your colleagues who are performing so well throughout the year, you will notice they have certain shedule. A good routine is a powerful part of our life and if you want to have a balance life you need to have a good routine to follow every day. If you are looking for changing your life then you are on the right page as I will share my top 10 habits, so , hop in an imaginary Mercedes as I drive you through the world of good habits.

1) Wake up early

After reading the heading most of you have been like,” No shit writer! We all have heard that a million times”, but besides hearing this a million times you still are not doing it. I can’t emphasize enough on how important is to wake up early to have a balance,productive day. Your whole life can change if you follow this habit because you get so much done in the morning as your mind is fresh. So all of you students complaining how hectic life is, even if you wake up 2 hours before you usually wake up for school, your life will get 10 times less hectic as your brain is working faster and you get things done way quicker.This is a key to the door of better life.

2) Read

By that i don’t mean your school books or fiction books. I mean non-fiction books because they will open a porthole to a world of new ideas,innovation and critical thinking. In school we are told read fiction novels because it improves your English and creativity but non-fiction can improve your English and creaivity more than fiction books . The only reason i was able to think out side the box and got creative was because of non fiction books as they were written by people who have actually achieved something in life so they passed on their wisdom and knowledge through books and reveal secrets which you might not read in fiction books. I know for some of you is so hard to read or have a very busy life which makes it difficult for you to read. Just read a page. That’s it. Thats all i am asking for. One major thing is that you jot down advice , ideas or anything  you liked from the book you read as you end up forgetting important points. You can review it later on and it can highly benefit you in terms of ideas and quotes. Evernote is a great app for making notes.

3) Gratitude

One of the worst thing you can do in your life is complain and do not show gratitude. I have seen some people who have everything in their life but are always complaining and whining which makes them miserable and i have seen some people who have gone through so much but still are happy as they are so grateful for everything they have instead of focusing on what they dont have. Here’s a fact:In every day life we all go through hard stuff and one of the easiest way to deal with is by showing gratitude. Not only it will make that hardships easier but also make you patient as you know you have such great blessings which you do not deserve where as there are people fighting day and night for the same thing which you already have a fortune of. I suggest that you should come with one single thing for which you are grateful for everyday and read it when life gets too painful and unbearing.

4) Watch ted talks

This is best for those people who are addicted to youtube and don’t like to read. Ted talk is an amazing way to boost your knowledge,vision and perceptive as thousands of people come on stage and share their stories as some ideas are worth spreading You can watch Ted talk on any subject ,whether its technology, education,invention. You name it. All you have to do is watch a video every day on any topic which you find fascinating. As easy as that. It will open your mind and you will learn so much by other people’s experiences and advises.

5) Good night rest

We need 6-9 hours so sleep no matter what. Sleep is extremely important and if you didn’t sleep more, you will feel lazy which will prevent you from doing anything productive since you feel too tired. Also your mind will work slow as our brain needs rest to be able to work properly. I don’t care how chiotic or busy your life is, take out time to have a good night sleep. Sometimes its okay to sleep for 3 or 4 hours and I really mean sometimes but don’t make it a habit of sleeping less as it can lead to heart attack, high blood pressure and diabetes and many more diseases which you don’t wanna have or want to know about. If you have a test, dont study a night before becuase it will not benefit you at all and you end up getting bad numbers but you still do it even when you know. less sleep=low life span. Remember.

6) Healthy breakfast

Have you ever felt so low, lazy, inactive throughout the day even if you have slept a lot. Thats because you thought you were too cool to eat breakfast. Some of you might be thinking,” but i drank milk and still i am feeling like that.” Thats because it’s not breakfast. Eating anything in the morning like chocolate or tea doesn’t bring you any good. I am talking about proper breakfast like milk and eggs with bread. Breakfast is so important as you will feel fresh and energetic throughout the day. Now some of you say that you don’t have time. There are two reasons  for that. Firstly, you don’t wake up early and that’s why I said waking up early is so beneficial. Secondly, you all teenagers spend so much time getting ready for school or uni. Most of you spend an hour on hair, face and selecting clothes and you are ready to sacrifice your breakfast for physical appearance. No one will remember what you looked like the day after so please stop wasting so much time on your looks and spend that time eating healthy breakfast and as shocking it will sound, breakfast is more important than your appearance.

7) Exercise

yes, my foes , you need to do exercise every single day and some of you are ready to leave this page but hear me out. If a thought of workout is too much for you, just do cardio or run every day for 10 mins. That’s it. It will make you healthy, stronger, fit and life will become less stressful. I guarantee you that.

8) Daily goal setting

We all have big goals in life like going to your dream uni or getting all A*s and then we have small, everyday goals like watching a video about a chem lesson or grocery shopping etc. A goal setting is vital for an organized life and is a trait which every successful people have.Every day, after waking up ,jot down your goals for the day. Not only it makes your day orderly and systematized but also makes you excited and ready for the day.

9) Motivation

Kick start your day by either listening to a motivational video or read something which is motivational and inspiring. There are days when you wake up feeling grumpy, annoyed and stressed out. it will instantly make your day brighter, your mood will become better and you will feel like you are ready to conquer the world. Doing my O-level exams I had to do so much and I couldn’t afford to waste my time by getting large breaks so I would listen to a 10 minute motivational video and then I would be ready to go. When you have dozen of tasks to do and you get hopeless or tired, boost your energy by a doz of motivation.

10) Spread kindness

The world is becoming a much darker place and we all have sensed that. All we can do is spread kindness and this is something everyone should be obliged to do no matter what. At the end of the day, what matters is what type of human being you were and spreading kindness proves that you care about others. Make it compulsory on yourslef to help someone or to do anything good every single day. You can help a friend on some topic or you can make a packet of food and give it to a homless person. There is so much you can do to if you atcually want to.
