1 – L’OREAL FOUNDATIONS
I’d say L’oreal would make top five in any beauty product. Their new and improved formulas provide a creamy and luminous texture for a smooth and easy application. LOVE LOVE LOVE the old true match foundations. Although the bottles could be remodelled, the formula is still the same success story.
As one of my first in my teenage years, it’s still working, and it’s still slaying.
2 – NEUTROGENA FOUNDATIONS
We’ve always gotten mixed reviews for this brand. Although Neutrogena is more famous for its skin care products, the mixture of skin care in foundations is something similar to bareMinerals and Clinique. However, at the drugstore level. Therefore, like all skin care products, it works for some and becomes a disaster for others.
I’d recommend Neutrogena if you have combination skin leaning towards oily. Not a bad shot for the drugstore price!
3 – REVLON FOUNDATIONS
Revlon is more on the full coverage side. If you have oily skin, this foundation is definitely for you! On dry skin, Revlon’s foundation formulas tend to cake up. The best thing about this foundation line is the way it blends smoothly into the skin and provides a luminous texture.
It also has a great, improved color range.
4 – RIMMEL FOUNDATIONS
Not much experience with this, BUT love its coverage. I just wish they had better, larger bottles for their foundations. Rimmel is more popular for its eye and lip makeup. However, it’s done wonderfully with its Stay Matte line.
Perfect for all skin types, buildable and durable.
5 – MAYBELLINE FOUNDATIONS
You can NEVER go wrong with Maybelline. Especially since the founder of this brand started the line for his wife. You’ll know the products were made out of the best intentions. You all MUST try the FIT ME series. While it doesn’t work well for dry skin, it’s a beautiful creamy, medium to full coverage type of formula. Another bestseller is the Satin mousse.
Although an old series, still works well and still going!
6 – E.L.F FOUNDATIONS
ELF hasn’t been as popular before, but now is upping the quality of its products to a bestseller level. I highly recommend you all try their matte lipsticks. Wonderful, smooth and rich application with lasting results. As for foundations, ELF is getting there. For those of you who have a tight budget, ELF isn’t as bad as you would think. Its improved formula for both its primers and foundations have finally allowed it to top Hard Candy, Wet n’ Wild, and Almay.
I’d highly recommend it if you were that broke college kid like me.
